Housing Development Incentive Program

Council approved The Lac La Biche County Advantage Housing Development Incentive Program on August 18, 2026, committing up to $2 million in direct grants through a two-year pilot designed to accelerate new home construction, expand rental supply and strengthen Lac La Biche County's competitiveness for residential investment.

At full uptake, the program has the potential to support up to 175 new homes and rental units across the County. Units supported through Stream B must remain long-term rental housing for five years under a Housing Incentive Agreement.
