Lac La Biche County's Community Access System is a busing service that helps people get around our community. Our aim is to provide improved access to healthcare, shopping, educational services, and recreational activities.
Community Access Bus Service
The Community Access Bus Service is a shared-ride, curb-to-curb transportation service to take individuals and families to and from health appointments, local shopping, or coffee with friends.
Community Access Paratransit Bus Service
The Community Access Paratransit Service is available to seniors and people with disabilities travelling within the County. Paratransit provides affordable door-to-door transportation, helping people run errands, access medical care and attend social events. Click here to read the County’s Paratransit Policy.
The Paratransit bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift. If a user requires a support attendant, there is no charge for the attendant. After registering, users are billed monthly for the trips they have taken.

How do I book trips?
The Community Access/Paratransit buses operate six (6) days a week. Please book your trip at least 24 hours in advance.
Trips can be booked between 9 am and 5:45 pm Monday-Friday, and 10 am to 3:45 pm on Saturday, subject to availability.
Community Access Bus: Call 780-404-3480 OR 780-623-6745 to arrange a pickup.
Paratransit Bus: Call 780-520-0417 OR 780-623-6745 to arrange a pickup.

Cancelling a booking: If you need to cancel a booking, please call 780-404-3480 or 780-623-6745 during regular business hours (8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday) if possible. If you are unable to reach a member of our team, please leave a message requesting to cancel your trip, with your name and travel time(s).
Fees
Urban: $2 per ride, or $5 per family (up to four dependents per adult)
Rural: $4 per ride, or $10 per family (up to four dependents per adult)
*Please have the correct fare. The driver cannot provide change.
There are also punch passes available for purchase at the Bold Centre:
- $20 individual punch pass: 12 rides
- $50 family punch pass: 12 family rides
Additional Information
The Community Access/Paratransit buses will not run when temperatures fall below minus 35 degrees Celsius, or if Northern Lights Public Schools buses are not running.
Children ages five (5) and under ride free with an adult.
The Community Access/Paratransit buses do not run on statutory holidays.
