Cenovus Child Mind Centre

The Cenovus Child Mind Centre, located inside the Bold Center, provides a safe play space
for children.

Child Mind - Paid Babysitting

The Child Mind service cares for kids between six months and 12 years old, offering an indoor playground, games, crafts and other activities while parents or guardians use the multiplex's other facilities.

Infant care is available for children between six months and two years old. There are only two infant care spots available per hour. Please call (780) 623-6365 to pre-register.

Hours of Operation - Currently unavailable due to Pandemic Protocols


Family (two to four children):     

$5 per half-hour (one hour maximum)
$3 per half-hour or $54 for 10 hours
$7 per half-hour or $95 for 10 hours

Free Indoor Playground (Parent-Supervised)

The indoor playground in the Cenovus Child Mind Centre is open to the public. Kids must be supervised by a responsible person 12 years of age or older at all times.

  • Reserved for children ages 6 months to 12 years old.
  • Drop in with your child (max of 3 hours per day per child).
  • Parents must remain within the Bold Center.
  • Parents must provide own snacks.
  • Registration forms must be completed.
  • Sick children cannot be accepted for care.
  • Please remember to bring clean indoor shoes.



The Northern Lakes Family Resource Network is administered through Athabasca FCSS and is a group of agencies providing supports to families with children aged 0-18 years.
  • The spectrum of services is from prevention / education services to intervention, seeking to support healthy caregiver / parenting skills and family development.

Lac La Biche County hosts the It Takes a Village program providing parent / caregiver education and support. Watch our Facebook pages for regular workshops and programs such as Emotion Coaching, Baby Talk, and It Starts With Hope parent support group. Our staff provide Ages & Stages Questionnaires, Triple P programming and 1-on-1 conversations to encourage positive parenting skills development.
