The proceeds from the 2021 Healthier Communities Golf Tournament will be given to the Lac La Biche Regional Health Foundation and Portage College for future development of healthcare services and training opportunities in our region.

Each registration fee (individual or foursome) includes 18 holes of golf, a boxed breakfast, a dinner, welcome gift plus a $100,000 shoot out!

This is a great opportunity for you and your family to visit Lac La Biche County for the evening or even the weekend! Lac La Biche County has booked all Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park Cabins for the weekend.

The Lac La Biche Golf and Country Club is located a few kilometers from the Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park.

Lac La Biche Regional Health Foundation
The Lac La Biche Regional Health Foundation is a charitable, non-profit organization made up of volunteer Board Members and many other volunteers.

The Foundation was formally approved by the Alberta Government in September 2015. They raise funds to bring medical equipment and enhanced health care to the Lac La Biche Region through events, raffles, silent and live auction as well as other fundraising initiatives. To date the Foundation has purchased a portable cardiac monitor, in partnership with the Ladies Auxiliary, recruitment and retention of the Ultrasound Sonographer, funding for the CT Scanner in partnership with Carmen Nashim & Family, Lac La Biche County, AHS and other community partners, Children’s Community Wellness Boxes, Vital Signs Monitors for Acute Care, Bladder Scanner and Equipment for the Stroke Walk in Clinic for the Emergency Department.

Portage College
Portage College offers a variety of health and wellness programs at the post-secondary institution. Their health and wellness programs offer the opportunity to develop health care careers that can transform the lives of patients and their families. The college continues to provide great opportunities for local residents or coming community members to start and/or continue their careers in health and wellness.
