Shoulder Pulling Program will Cause Delays and Temporary Road Closures: September 2021

Post Date:09/08/2021 7:00 PM

Lac La Biche County is completing shoulder pulling in the Rich Lake and Craigend Area. The County presently has a grader and rototiller working on the shoulder pulling program.

Roads planned for shoulder pulling in this area over the next few weeks are as follows:

  • Range Road 120: Between Highway 55 and Township Road 634
  • Range Road 115: Between Township Road 640A and Township Road 642
  • Township Road 642 & 642A: Between Range Road 115 and Township Road 645A
  • Additional roads will be added to the program weather dependent

This program is completed to enhance the longevity of gravel roads by bringing the gravel material away from the sides of the road (shoulders) back to the main road surface.

Residents can expect temporary delays and sometimes temporary road closures and traffic disruption in construction areas due to this maintenance program. Please watch for construction warning signs and equipment in the areas outlined above over the next few weeks. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
