Notice of Public Hearing: Bylaw 21-014 - Encroachment on Environmental Reserve Lands

Take notice that the Council of Lac La Biche County is proposing to pass a bylaw pursuant to sections 676(1) and 692 of the Municipal Government Act and a public hearing will be held to obtain public input on proposed Bylaw 21-014.

Proposed Bylaw 21-014 provides for an encroachment within a portion of Lot R1, Block 1, Plan 7720980, adjacent to Lots 11 & 12, Block 6, Plan 7720980, within the Lakeview Estates subdivision, for the construction of a retaining wall. The proposed Bylaw also amends section C1.13 of Land Use Bylaw 17-004 to allow for the encroachment at the aforementioned location, as shown on the maps.

Anyone who is interested in speaking during the public hearing is encouraged to participate. Those wishing to speak to County Council must pre-register by emailing legservices@laclabichecounty.com, by noon the day prior to the public hearing, and upon registering Legislative Services will provide registered participants with the necessary ZOOM information to access the public hearing by virtual means; participants will be given up to 10 minutes to present to County Council. Alternatively, you may forward a written submission to legservices@laclabichecounty.com, or by fax at 780-623-2039, by noon the day prior to the public hearing, and it will be read into record during the public hearing.

Submissions received after the public hearing cannot be considered by Council, so it is important that interested parties participate in the public hearing.
Council meetings and public hearings are broadcasted via electronic means; and can be viewed on the Lac La Biche County website.
