Lac La Biche County makes 2018 Top Employers list
County named one of Alberta’s Top 70 Employers in Mediacorp competition
In 2017, Lac La Biche County applied for and won a Mediacorp competition to be featured as one of Alberta’s Top 70 Employers of 2018. The County was evaluated on the quality of its physical workspaces, benefits, vacation allowances, performance management tools, training, and community involvement, among other criteria. The organization was found to be among the best in Alberta.
The 2018 edition of the Alberta’s Top Employers magazine was published this month, and an article inside highlights the benefits of working for the County.
"We believe in investing in our employees,” says Shadia Amblie, the County’s Chief Administrative Officer. “The County supports relevant training for all its staff, and provides competitive compensation and benefits to attract the best recruits to serve the public.”
Beyond working for the County, the article describes the advantages of living in our region, including the new high school, the Bold Center, and the natural beauty of the nearby lakes, parks, trails, and forests. Its educational and cultural opportunities were also emphasized.
“We’re one of the few rural municipalities with a college and a range of religious centres,” adds Amblie. “The County’s cultural diversity and strong volunteer traditions make us a very unique and interesting community. There’s something here for everyone.”
Lac La Biche County remains committed to setting high employment standards, and to promoting the region as an excellent place to call home. The County’s profile can be found on https://content.eluta.ca/top-employer-lac-la-biche-county.
