Lac La Biche County seeks Members at Large for boards and committees
Lac La Biche County is seeking Members at Large to serve on the following boards and committees. Members at Large are provided remuneration and compensation for expenses while performing their duties.
Agricultural Service Board (ASB) – 1 Member Required
The Agricultural Service Board (ASB) is an advisory board of Lac La Biche County which reviews and makes recommendations on agricultural policies and other agriculture-related matters of the County.
The ASB meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 10 am.
The County is seeking one (1) Area 1 Member, from the area general described as: south of Plamondon and west of Highway 36. This is a three (3) year term, effective January 1, 2018.
Municipal Planning Commission – 3 Members Required
The Municipal Planning Commission serves as the Subdivision Authority for all subdivision applications, with the exception of subdivisions under direct control. The Commission serves as the Development Authority for discretionary uses and other applications which are referred by the Development Officer(s).
The Municipal Planning Commission meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
The County is seeking three (3) Members at Large to serve a three (3) year term, effective January 1, 2018.
Subdivision and Development Appeal Board – 4 Members Required
The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) is a quasi-judicial board that hears appeals on subdivision and development decisions made by the subdivision and development authority.
The SDAB meets as required, and no more than 5 members will serve at any one hearing.
The County is seeking four (4) members at large to serve a three (3) year term, effective immediately.
