Do Not Spray Requests due May 31, 2017

Post Date:05/16/2017 12:15 PM

Lac La Biche County Agriculture Services staff will be carrying out the annual roadside brush and weed control program on County-owned roads during the months of June through October 2017.  Please note: this program applies to County-owned roads only. Property owners with land adjacent to primary or secondary highways must contact Carillion at 780-623-4592.

A 30-meter no spray buffer zone will be put into practice in front of yard sites, dugouts, waterways or herbicide sensitive vegetation (i.e. gardens, shelterbelts).  Clearview, a selective herbicide, will be used in the hamlets of Plamondon and Lac La Biche to control noxious and prohibited noxious weeds if no other options can be found following all laws and guidelines.

The deadline for completed “Do Not Spray Requests” to be received will be May 31, 2017. You can find the 2017 form by clicking here.
